Protection Group International (PGI) is pleased to announce that it has joined WeProtect Global Alliance to support the creation of a safer online environment for children.
WeProtect Global Alliance brings together governments, civil society organisations, and the private sector to transform the global response to child sexual abuse and exploitation online.
PGI already supports and works with multiple child safety and online harm stakeholders including platform, government and non-government organisations; helping them proactively understand, identify and mitigate child safety risks online.
PGI works beyond just first-line content moderation, delivering comprehensive malicious network assessment and attribution at scale, to facilitate up-stream enforcement outcomes and reduce in-house moderation volumes.
The Alliance will benefit from PGI’s ability to combine cross-platform threat awareness with a deep knowledge of threat actor capabilities online, particularly in tracking use of emerging technologies such as AI and Extended Reality and new digital products and surfaces
Iain Drennan, Executive Director of WeProtect Global Alliance, said:
“We are delighted to have PGI as a member of our global Alliance working to keep children safe from sexual abuse and exploitation online. The digital intelligence work that PGI does to find and disrupt malicious networks is a vital part of the solution to protect children in the digital world. We believe that a collaborative approach is key to tackling this complex problem, and very much look forward to collaborating with PGI in the months and years ahead.”
Brian Lord, CEO of PGI, said:
“We believe that a collaborative approach is needed to successfully counter malicious activity that compromises and violates the safety of children and other vulnerable people online. By understanding the methodology, behaviours, and complex infrastructures of networks of harmful people and groups, we enable both the disruption of their operations and the creation of an environment that inhibits their ability to achieve their malicious goals. We are proud to have been accepted into the WeProtect Global Alliance and we look forward to collaborating with them and the other organisations committed to making the internet a safer space.”

Lies, damned lies, and AI - Digital Threat Digest
At their core, artificial systems are a series of relationships between intelligence, truth, and decision making.
A pointless digital jigsaw - Digital Threat Digest
Feeding the name of a new criminal to the online OSINT community is like waving a red rag to a bull. There’s an immediate scramble to be the first to find every piece of information out there on the target, and present it back in a nice network graph (bonus points if you’re using your own network graph product and the whole thing is a thinly veiled advert for why your Ghunt code wrap with its purple-backlit-round-edged-dynamic-element CSS is better than everyone else’s).
