Protection Group International (PGI) is pleased to be the Official Training Material Developer to CREST, the global not-for-profit body supporting the cyber security industry.
In response to growing demand from training providers, CREST and PGI have worked together develop and launch official course material designed to support individuals preparing to sit CREST certification exams.
This initiative marks the first time CREST has taken full ownership of the exam preparation process by directly making available approved educational resources to CREST Approved Training Providers.
The official course material, developed in collaboration with PGI, will initially focus on four key exams: CPSA, CPTIA, CPIA, and CRT, with additional course material for other CREST exams planned for release later in the year.
Michael Keen, Head of Capability at PGI, is proud that PGI has been chosen by CREST to be the official training material developer for vital capacity building workforce skill development, whereby PGI has been supporting client capability growth for more than 10 years:
“We have been aligning our capacity building efforts in the cyber security space with CREST’s exams for several years. We believe that the professionalisation and sustainability of the cyber security industry depends on a standardised and contextual approach to effective training and examination, and CREST provides that foundation. We are honoured to be part of this significant step to make high-quality cyber security training material more widely accessible.”
Nick Benson, CEO at CREST has said that this initiative represents a significant milestone for CREST:
“We are pleased to be partnering with PGI to provide high-quality, standardised course materials. PGI has a reputation for successful capacity building in a range of environments, enabling countries and organisations to develop and maintain key cyber security skills against our rigorous examination standards. We recognised the need to provide our Training Partners around the world with high-quality, vocationally-focused course materials that will help them provide locally-affordable training to support their exam-takers' continuing development and journey towards achieving the gold standard of CREST certifications.”
In addition to being a CREST Approved Training Partner, PGI is a CREST member accredited to provide penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and cyber security incident response.
The CREST accreditation process is rigorous, covering the policies, processes and competencies that member companies have in place for delivery of their services.
Training providers interested in becoming eligible to use official course materials as CREST Approved Training Partners can apply through the CREST website. For existing CREST Approved Training Providers, official course materials are now available for purchase. Please contact CREST at enquiries@crest-approved.org for more information.
